Please ensure you read the Booking Conditions carefully in conjunction with the information provided here.
Your Financial Protection
Your holiday and your money are fully protected when you book with Arena Travel. In line with the EC Directive on Package Travel, Arena Travel, part of Arena Tours Limited, offers complete financial protection for all customers through our ATOL protection.
Appropriate cover is a requirement on our holidays. You don’t need to purchase your travel insurance from us but if you would like further information please visit www.arenatravel.com.
Customers with Health Concerns
So that we can advise you of any accessibility issues, it is essential that you let us have details of any special requests you may have at the time of booking. Where tours are unsuitable for people with certain medical conditions, this is highlighted. No inoculations are required for travel within Europe and standards of health care are good or excellent at all our destinations. Our Tour Managers will be able to advise you on other health matters such as the standard of the tap water.
Demand for our holidays can exceed expectations in which case we will allocate you a hotel of a similar standard to the advertised hotel. You will be informed of this change in advance of your holiday with your Joining Instructions. It will not change any other element of your holiday. Where an alternative hotel does not have a recognised “star” rating, our own product managers have satisfied themselves that it is of the same standard as the advertised hotel.
Passports & Visas
You will need a full 10 year British Passport (valid a further 3 months on return to the U.K.) for all European holidays including air or sea travel. Children require their own passport, if not already included on their parent/guardian’s passport. Holders of non-British Passports may need a visa. If you are in any doubt, please contact the embassies of the countries you are visiting, as we cannot accept liability if you are refused entry because of invalid documents.
A visa is required for entry into Egypt and we will arrange this for you at a cost of £15 per person. Your Tour Manager will take care of the formalities for you on arrival, which will save lengthy queueing and form- filling after your flight. This cost will be automatically added to your Invoice; should you prefer to make your own arrangements simply tell us at the time of booking.
India – British passport holders require a tourist visa for entry to India. Passports must be valid for 190 days beyond the date of the return flight. The current cost for a tourist visa is £42.20, when applying through VF S Global, the authority officially appointed to process Indian visas by the High Commission of India. We will send you full details about 12 weeks prior to your departure date.
Nationals of the UK, USA, Canada and Australia do not require a visa for entry into Thailand for stays of less than 90 days. A passport with six months’ remaining validity is required and a landing card will be completed on board the outward light. Nationals of some EU countries do require a visa and should check with the consular section of the Royal Thai Embassy on 020 7589 2944.
British nationals do require a visa for entry to Burma. Your current passport must have at least six months’ validity remaining. As you are travelling as part of a package tour we will write to you about twelve weeks prior to departure with application details which we will then process for you. You will be required to submit your passport to us. The total cost including processing is currently £69 per person.
All our optional excursions are subject to a minimum number of participants. In the unlikely event that minimum numbers are not reached and the tour is cancelled, your payment will be returned in full. Cancellation often takes place whilst you are already on your holiday. This is because some people like to wait until they are in resort before booking their excursions and this often increases the numbers. If minimum numbers are still not met, your Tour Manager will inform you as soon as possible.
We endeavour to follow the itinerary advertised in this brochure although there are occasions when due to circumstances out of our control, we may have to change the order in which the itinerary is operated, or our day by day activities. On the are occasion this happens our Tour Managers will keep you fully informed, and where possible provide suitable alternatives.
All information in our brochure was correct at time of going to print and any errors are unintentional.
The availability of some services, facilities and attractions may vary due to circumstances out of our control such as poor weather conditions, lack of demand and breakdowns. We cannot predict these things in advance, and do not accept liability if things are not open or available, although we will do our best to provide alternatives.
